MISSION STATEMENT:
Northern Comfort Specialized Care provides 24-hour care for individuals requiring assistance with daily living skills assisting with rehabilitation and continuing care related to developmental delays, trauma, strokes, and dementia-related brain insults. Our specially trained nursing staff provides all levels of care with compassion and guidance, implementing a care plan tailored to meet each resident’s unique needs. We are committed to the values of dignity, honesty, and integrity, and strive to achieve a functional balance of meeting the needs of our residents and their financial resources.
SCOPE OF CARE:
Our scope of care extends to individuals who may require assisted living/long-term care for those who are no longer able to safely live independently; transitional care for individuals who are able to return to their home and communities following rehabilitation; respite care for an overnight stay up to 14 days; and adult day services half-day or full-day supervised care. Northern Comfort Specialized Care’s care team realizes an accident or decline in brain function are life-altering events, and we are here to assist with your loved one’s needs. We invite family participation and support to assist individuals to achieve their highest level of independence and potential.

Brain and Spinal Care Injuries
Our Scope of Care extends to individuals who require long-term or transitional services. Northern Comfort’s care team realizes that brain and spinal cord injuries are life-altering events. Our specialized services and programs address the various types, levels, and stages of injuries. We invite family participation and support as people achieve their highest level of independence and potential.
Assisted Living
Northern Comfort Specialized Care offers private bedrooms with beautiful views, helping your loved one to enjoy their new home. The confidence of knowing our 24/7 care staff provides all levels of personal care, meals, and medication management while providing a homelike setting, will put your mind at ease. The care staff closely monitors each resident for optimal health, coordinating with local healthcare providers as needed.
Care Management Services may also be available with advance notice for scheduled physician appointments outside of the facility.
Hospice Care
Our nursing staff at Northern Comfort Specialized Care offers compassionate, quality care, working closely with our hospice team to provide expert medical care and pain management, as well as spiritual and emotional support- respecting the values, beliefs, and needs of each resident and family member.
Respite Care
For an overnight stay, but for a period of time less than 14 days, our staff is here to provide supervision in a safe environment, 24/7 nursing care, activities, meals, toileting, laundry, and medication management. The medication that is furnished for that individual is a physician order and provided for Northern Comfort Specialized Care by the individual’s guardian, caregiver, or responsible party, but medical care will not be initiated, unless in an emergent circumstance.
Adult Day Services
Do you have a scheduled appointment or would you like to go out to lunch with friends? Let Northern Comfort Specialized Care staff give you the assistance you need and deserve. Adult Day Services include supervision in a safe environment, activities, meals, toileting, and medication management. The medication that is furnished for that individual is a physician order and provided for Northern Comfort Specialized Care by the individual’s guardian, caregiver, or responsible party, but medical care will not be initiated, unless in an emergent circumstance.
Half-day: $75.00 (five hours or less)
Full day: $150.00 (up to 12 hours)
